The history of Mosfilm began on January 30, 1924 - 95 years ago. During this time, the cinema concern raised many famous actors and directors and released more than 2.5 thousand films. Among them are favorite pictures of the Soviet and Russian spectators: “Love and Doves”, “Gentlemen of Fortune”, “Girls”, “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession” and many others.

“Amphibian Man” by Chebotaryov and Kazansky

Before falling into the hands of Vladimir Chebotarev, the script was gathering dust for about 10 years on the shelf of Lenfilm. In the 1940s moviemakers even tried to film it in Hollywood, but due to technical limitations associated with the features of underwater filming, the script remained unclaimed for a long time.

“The Roaring Twenties” in Paris

Returning to life after the First World War was accompanied in Paris by a stormy cultural and social breakthrough. The fashion has changed radically, jazz and art deco, broadcasting, mechanical engineering, cinema becoming widespread. In France, this time is called "The Roaring Twenties".
